Updating the DriveLock Agent
The version of the DriveLock Agent may be lower, but never higher than the version of the DriveLock Enterprise Service. We recommend that all DriveLock components have the same version.
Manual update
You can install the new update manually. In this case, simply install the new Windows installation package (MSI). You do not need to change the agent configuration, because your existing configuration will be kept during the update.
Automatic update
The DriveLock Agent can perform automatic updates. As of version 2024.1, this option is not enabled by default and needs to be selected manually in the DriveLock policy. Click here for more information.
The agent checks the published software packages on the DES for a newer version. If a newer version is available, it will be downloaded and installed.
If you have published a new version on the DES and want to trigger an automatic update, you can use the command line drivelock -updateproduct
on the agent computer.
